Shortcut Widgets

Overview

Shortcut Widgets are pre-configured execution templates that let you deploy common trading patterns with a single click. Instead of manually setting up order parameters every time you want to execute a familiar pattern, you define the template once and reuse it instantly.

How They Work

Each Shortcut Widget encapsulates:

• Order type — Market, limit, or conditional
• Position sizing — Fixed size, percentage of portfolio, or risk-based
• Entry logic — Immediate, at price level, or condition-triggered
• Stop-loss — Pre-defined protective stop distance or level
• Take-profit — One or multiple profit targets
• Risk parameters — Maximum slippage, timeout, and retry behavior

When you click a widget, all these parameters are applied instantly. No forms to fill, no settings to adjust — just execute.

Built-In Templates

PerpDesk includes several pre-built Shortcut Widgets:

• Quick Long/Short — Market entry with automatic stop and target based on current ATR
• Breakout Entry — Conditional limit order at breakout level with trailing stop
• Mean Reversion — Limit order at support/resistance with tight stop and multiple targets
• Scalp — Small position, tight stop, quick target — designed for fast in-and-out trades
• Hedge — Open an opposing position to offset existing directional risk

Custom Widgets

You can create custom Shortcut Widgets for any trading pattern you use regularly. The widget builder lets you configure every parameter and save it for one-click access. Custom widgets can also be shared with your team via Team Trading.

Agent Integration

Koda can use Shortcut Widgets as execution templates when deploying strategies from Riven. This ensures consistent execution parameters and reduces the time between strategy approval and position entry.
