Onboarding

From sign-up to a personalized trading desk in minutes.

Get Started Quickly

PerpDesk's onboarding is designed to get you to a working desk as fast as possible. No lengthy wizards, no tutorials to sit through — just enough setup for your agents to start working.

Head to perpdesk.xyz and sign in using your wallet or a social login (Discord, Twitter, or Telegram). You'll set a display name and choose your experience level.

Experience Level

Your experience level helps agents tailor their communication style and default settings:

  • New Trader — Agents start in monitoring mode so you can watch and learn. Paper trading is available via the mock exchange.
  • Intermediate — You pick your preferred trading style (scalp, intraday, swing, position) and agents pre-configure around those selections.
  • Expert — Full desk unlocked immediately, minimal hand-holding.

All paths lead to the same desk — the difference is how agents introduce themselves and what defaults they use.

Connect Your Exchanges

This is the most important step. When you connect an exchange, your agents can monitor your positions and execute trades on your behalf (with your approval).

Currently supported:

  • Hyperliquid
  • Lighter

A mock exchange is available for paper trading if you want to explore the platform before connecting a live account.

To connect an exchange, navigate to your profile settings, add your API credentials, and enable Read, Trade, and Futures permissions.

Never enable withdrawal permissions on any API key used with third-party tools.

What Connecting Gives Your Agents

Once an exchange is connected, your agents have live context:

  • Brix can enforce risk parameters against your actual positions and exposure
  • Koda can execute approved trades directly
  • Luma can factor your venue's real-time funding and OI data into signal analysis
  • Vanta can run regime detection on markets you're actively trading

The more context your agents have, the more relevant their recommendations become.

Configure Risk Parameters

Before enabling any live trading, set your risk boundaries in your profile. These are enforced by Brix as hard limits:

  • Max position size — Largest position that can be recommended
  • Max leverage — Highest leverage allowed
  • Max exposure — Total portfolio exposure cap
  • Daily loss limit — Trading halts if daily losses exceed this

Start conservative. You can always adjust these as you gain confidence in the system.

Start Trading

Once you're set up:

  1. Monitor first. Watch your agents analyze markets and generate recommendations for a few sessions.
  2. Approve selectively. When you see a recommendation you like, approve it from Agent Chat or the Trading view.
  3. Adjust autonomy. As trust builds, you can give agents more independence within your risk parameters.

Your agents run 24/7. When you're away, they continue monitoring and will have recommendations ready when you return — check the Digest view for a summary of what happened while you were gone.

All your preferences and risk parameters can be updated anytime from your profile settings.
